Mount Chimborazo
Once thought to be the world's highest mountain, the peak of Mt Chimborazo is still the furthest point from the centre of the Earth (thanks to the eliptical shape of the planet).
Situated close to Riobamba and at a height of 6310m (20,946,232 ft) , the mountain offers a low cost and technically simple assent into the death zone.
