Mt Chimborazo, Ecuador (6310m)
This is the story of my ascent of Mt Chimborazo, Ecuador. It is by no means that hardest mountain the man has ever climbed, but is certainly the hardest mountain that I have ever climbed. It is a good 2500m smaller in elevation than Everest. It's a good deal rounder and less jagged too. But its summit is in the death zone nonetheless and, because of the eliptical shape of our planet, is the furthest point from the centre of the Earth.
I'll be adding more info about the mountain and how to climb it shortly. Until then, enjoy my story.

I was wearing a fighter's face with beaten brow and ferocious scowl and with every breath I imagined I was sucking life out of the mountain, and in essence that's exactly what I was doing...."
